Here at Get Me Rewrite we believe innovation is in our DNA. Or at least it was until we called in a team of genetic engineers and had it removed. We wish these companies did the same:
Cloud-based computing consultant:
“Innovation is in our DNA.”
Texas energy company:
“Our commitment to innovation is in our DNA.”
Health care company:
“Innovation is in our DNA.”
Major pharmaceutical company:
“Innovation is in our DNA.”
Biosciences company:
“A pioneering team with innovation in our DNA.”
CEO for fluid engineering company:
“Innovation is in our DNA.”
Advanced glassmaking company:
“Innovations in our DNA.”
Bank in Silicon Valley:
“Supporting Innovation Is In Our DNA.”
Zinc exterior products company:
“Innovation is in our DNA.”
Health care ratings service:
“Innovation is in our DNA.”
Chinese e-commerce company:
“Innovation is in our DNA.”
Electronics and automation company:
“Innovation. It is in our DNA.”
Come on, people.
If innovation was really in your DNA, you wouldn’t tell people that “innovation is in our DNA.” You’d be more creative than that. Maybe:
“There’s no hype in our genotype.”
“There are plenty of tricks in our double helix.”
Or if you want to foster a hard-driving image, try “Caffeine is in our genes.”
You probably can come up with much better ones if you give it a few minutes. Take a few chances. Clichés can kill your business.
